In general, to dream of a tongue means that you talk too much.

If you bite it, it should be read as a call for prudence. this type of dream tends to indicate that you are starting to realize your failures and regret some things.

If the tongue stutters, it denotes that you don’t know how to express your needs in a coherent manner.

If it hurts, the dream probably alludes to the fact that you have been speaking badly of someone or telling lies. For Freud, the tongue had a clear sexual meaning. Because of its shape and erotic function, he compared it to the penis. (See TALKING and MOUTH)
if the tongue you dream about is your own, it means that you will tell lies.
