Dream meaning of abnormal

To dream of some abnormality or of abnormal objects indicate that the problems that have been preoccupying your mind will soon be resolved.
Note that anything appearing abnormal draws attention to that particular aspect.

Something in your life may not be consistent with how you feel things should be.

In primitive cultures, maimed beings, as well as madmen, were believed to possess supernatural powers—the shamans, for example. In primitive magico-religious thinking, the outstanding ability of physically abnormal individuals is not regarded, as it is in modern psychology, as having been developed in compensation for the abnormality, but rather the other way round: the maiming, the abnormality, the tragic destiny were the price the individual had to pay for some inborn extraordinary gift—often the gift of prophecy. This belief was universal.

In some mythologies, maimed beings are connected with the moon and its phases; there are mythic lunar beings, with only one hand or one foot, who have the magic power to cure disease, bring rain, and so on. This conception of abnormality is not restricted to animate beings, but applies equally to objects. The belief in the magic powers of abnormal objects is connected with the symbolism of the jester (that is, the inverted king, the sacrificial victim) and with the symbolism of the moon.

To dream of anything that is not normal – i. e., a horse with feathers, a woman who hops like a kangaroo, an airplane flying backward, etc., means you will shortly have a pleasing solution to your worries.

  2. Dreams about the abnormal are totally normal, just in case you were worried. If you dream something about you, someone else, or your environment that is abnormal – a strange face, missing body parts, everything upside down, things not quite like they should be – your subconscious might be trying to shake you out of your rut. Maybe you need to change something about yourself or your life to get back on the right track. If you find the abnormality disturbing in your dream, you resist change and don’t like to face unpleasantness (who does?). Acknowledge this about yourself, and gently encourage yourself to open your mind a bit.
